Teacher
Becoming an AYP Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) has many benefits, including:
1) Professional recognition. Becoming an AYP Certified Yoga Teacher establishes your credibility as the highest in the field. |
2) Affordability. Not only is the CYT designation the marker of knowledge and experience among yoga teachers, the cost for certification through The AYP is lower than through any other certifying organization. |
3) Community. Becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher allows students of yoga, as well as other teachers, to connect with you and learn about your offerings through The AYP member directory. |
In order to become an AYP Certified Yoga Teacher, you must have:
1) Successfully completed a Yoga Teacher Training.
2) Been teaching consistently (at least one class per week) for a minimum of two years.
1) The certificate of completion from your Teacher Training.
2) The name(s) of your teacher(s) and their contact information.
3) A credit card or PayPal account to submit applicable fees.
1) Complete and submit The AYP Application.
2) Once you submit your application, you will be asked to submit your $40 annual membership fee and a one-time $35 administrative fee.
3) After submitting your fees, follow the instructions to take The CYT Level 1 Certification Exam.
Student
Becoming an AYP Student Member has many benefits, including:
As a Student Member of the AYP, you will receive a variety of special discounts and promotions at AYP Member Studios, as well as discounts on all AYP online courses and mentorships. And of course, you will also get a FREE AYP “Yoga Nerd” or “Yoga Pro” t-shirt! |
In order to become an AYP Student Member, you must have:
AYP Student Memberships are available to anyone who loves yoga and values quality teaching.
All you’ll need to apply is a love of yoga and a PayPal account to submit your membership fee.
To become a Student Member, simply click on the link below to fill out and submit your application.
You will need a credit card or PayPal account to submit your $35 annual membership fee.
Studio/ Yoga School
There are a number of benefits to becoming an AYP Member Studio and/or Yoga School, including:
1) Building your student base. As an AYP member studio and/or yoga school, students will know that your studio and/or school is a place where they can take classes with AYP Certified Yoga Teachers. |
2) Extended network and visibility. As an AYP Member Studio and/or Yoga School, you will have the ability to list any trainings, mentorships or other offerings on The AYP “Programs” page. You will also be featured in The AYP newsletter and on The AYP Instagram page (@ayp_dot_org). |
3) Accreditation. If you opt to register your Teacher Training program with The AYP, your students will know that they are receiving the highest quality training available, and will have a faster track to becoming AYP Certified Teachers. |
In order to become an AYP Member Studio or Yoga School, you must:
1) Offer at least one class per day taught by an AYP Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT).
2) Offer discounts and/or promotions for AYP members beyond what are available to non-AYP members.
3) You will also need a credit card or PayPal account to submit your $150 annual membership fee.
To become an AYP Member Studio, simply click the link below, then complete and submit your application, as well as the applicable fees.
If you are a studio or yoga school that offers a Yoga Teacher Training that you would like to be accredited through the AYP, please check the appropriate box on the application and an AYP representative will contact you with more information.
